Phase I
PROJECT INQUIRY
Complete our Client Questionnaire, then schedule a 15 minute complimentary phone consultation. Share as many details as possible to help us understand your needs.
Phase II
IN PERSON CONSULTATION
We’ll discuss your needs, functional requirements, and aesthetics. We’ll establish the scope of work and project budget to generate a design proposal for your approval.
Phase III
PRE-DESIGN
Our team will research and organize your input for initial design concepts for each space. KCD will also provide ideas for architectural elements, materials, joinery, and color schemes.
Phase IV
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
We will provide fully functional designs, material samples, and renderings of cabinetry, flooring, wall coverings, countertops, hardware, plumbing, lighting, and other finishes.
Phase V
CONSTRUCTION DEVELOPMENT
After your final review and approval, all selections, specifications, and renderings will be documented and shared with the builder or general contractor.
Phase VI
FURNISHING DESIGN & PROJECT ADMIN
Determine the budget for furnishings and design requests. Start the selection process for textiles and finishes. We will closely follow the construction process and work with the builder or general contractor to resolve any issues.
Phase VII
PRODUCT PROCUREMENT
Once the furnishings design is approved and the proposal paid in full, we will send purchase orders to vendors and review each order for accuracy, pricing, shipping, and delivery details.
Phase VIII
FURNISHING INSTALLATION & PHOTOSHOOT
Coordinate the installation of new furnishings after construction is complete. Installation of furnishings, artworks, and finishing touches typically lasts 1-3 days followed by a professional photoshoot.
